is me, actually, Jessica Hurst. A Digital Costumer and CharacterFX artist for Film and TV.
I'm also an illustrator, practial costume fabricator, and occasional comic artist.
I got the nickname "JesKat" from a mispelled takout order of mine and
was charmed forever by the mistake
JesKatDesigns (this place) is my home on the internet.
~The longer third person artist statement:~
Jessica Amber Hurst is character effects artist who has worked on a wide range of projects including several Marvel movies and streaming shows. She has worked on hair, cloth, muscles, and much more; but her specialty is digital costume creation for digital humans and creatures.
She brings her practical costuming and fabrication skills to draft specialty patterns for characters costumes including: ballgowns, spacesuits, complex cloaks, among many other pieces. Her practical knowledge is also applied to the simulation of the costume to make the costume piece as realistic (or fantastic) as the project requires.
Outside of her film work, she has also done various illustration and design work for fashion companies, small businesses, and a museum.
When she isn't working on digital costumes or illustration, you can find her either at her sewing machine creating clothing and costumes, or at the drawing table working on her latest personal projects.
